Commitment to Our Community
At AHS, we believe that strong communities are supported by access to quality mental health support.
As part of our commitment to the community, we dedicate a portion of our clinical capacity to the Community Care Program (CCP). Through this initiative, participating clinicians reserve a number of appointments each week at a preferred rate, allowing more individuals and families to access professional mental health services.
The Community Care Program reflects our belief that access to care should not be determined solely by traditional fee structures. By intentionally allocating a portion of our practice capacity to this initiative, we aim to support a broader range of community members while maintaining the high standards of care that define AHS.
How the Program Works
The Community Care Program offers a number of appointments with participating providers.
Key features of the program include:
- Access to services at an adjusted fee
- Limited program spaces each year
- Equal clinical care and professional standards regardless of fee level
- Periodic review of program participation and availability
As the program is capacity-based, availability may vary throughout the year and may not be offered by every provider.
Session Availability
Clients accepted into the Community Care Program are guaranteed up to 20 sessions at the agreed-upon adjusted rate.
Requests for additional sessions may be considered on a case-by-case basis and are subject to program capacity, and clinical considerations. Approval of additional sessions cannot be guaranteed.
Quality of Care
Limitations
The Community Care Program is a community-based access initiative and is separate from any insurance benefit, reimbursement arrangement, or third-party funding program.
Please note:
- Community Care Program services are provided on a self-pay basis only.
- Adjusted-rate sessions are not eligible for direct billing.
- Superbills will not be provided for Community Care Program appointments.
- Sessions received through the program may not be submitted to insurance companies or third-party payers for reimbursement.
These limitations help ensure that the program remains sustainable and available to as many individuals as possible.
