Elizabeth was educated and
trained as a clinical psychologist in the United States. She has provided services in the United States (Minnesota
and Utah) as well as Japan and Korea. Elizabeth is currently employed by the
internationally based company Adaptable
Human Solutions which provides consulting, coaching, and psychological
services to both individuals and organizations, across several continents.
Prior to
working with AHS, Elizabeth provided services in a variety of settings
including, an early intervention program; child and family counseling center;
middle school; domestic violence shelter; preschool day treatment facility; and
preschool mental health clinic. Her
dynamic background and international experiences make her uniquely qualified
and well suited for working with the expatriate community. Elizabeth's clinical experiences include
comprehensive psychological evaluations; mental health assessments;
individual therapy; play therapy; family therapy; marriage and relationship counseling;
and group therapy. Elizabeth is also competent
in working with the unique struggles affecting United
States military families living abroad and in the USA.
In
addition to clinical experience, Elizabeth has
served as an adjunct faculty member for the University of Maryland. The undergraduate courses she has taught consist
of Child Psychology, Adolescent
Psychology, Theories of Personality, Psychology of Adjustment, Social
Psychology, Introduction to Counseling Psychology, Adult Psychopathology, and
The Psychology of Parenting.
